Mid-July at Rockethaus: 

The diffenbachia I split and potted are all STILL ALIVE and I feel hugely accomplished. Clearly one of them is far exceeding the others, but they’re all growing and making new leaves and the cats haven’t tried to eat them even once. Score. 

Otherwise, not much news. Have done lots of furniture rearranging this month. The watermelon is still going NUTS and I have relinquished the garden to it. I have eaten a few radishes and leaves of lettuce from the garden, but nothing else has come of it. Too hot, too dry, for too long. 

For the first time ever, I am looking forward to the end of summer.
